Three years of Hireco Truck Park!

Three years ago Hireco Truck Park – a premier truck stop, officially opened its 5-acre truck park in DP World London Gateway in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. This initiative was an effort to address the shortage of parking in the surrounding areas, mainly due to the increased use of DP World London Gateway. Run by UK operations manager Paul Jeffery, the Truck Park has been incredibly successful with his ability to maintain excellent relationships with companies and drivers whilst also making sure the park runs without a hitch.

The Hireco Truck Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing 170 spaces available on both random and contract-hire basis. Customers who opt for contract hire will have payments processed automatically via an ANPR system. Costs are £2 per hour for the first five hours, six to 24 hours are a flat rate of £26.50 Even better news for drivers is that the first hour is free. Drivers looking for a quick stop can enter the park and take their obligatory 45-minute break without charges. With a secure and modern security system throughout the park, those staying for longer have the reassurance of a safe visit.

Hireco views the Truck Park initiative as an opportunity to revamp the stereotype of the average truck stop. The park has an impressive range of facilities, including male, female and accessible toilets, shower and shaving facilities. A bonus to the Hireco Truck Park is Marlon’s Bistro. On the menu, you will find a variety of healthy meals/snacks and comfort food such as Steak and Onion wraps, Full English Breakfasts and chilli chips. Thus we are well equipped to feed up hungry drivers, leaving them well-fed and nourished before they embark on their next journey.
