Vaculug’s 5th Sustainability Forum on the 7th of May 2025 welcomed leading voices from across the transport and automotive sectors for a powerful day of discussion, innovation, and shared purpose. Held at the National Space Centre, the event marked Vaculug’s 75th anniversary and showcased bold ideas driving the future of sustainable mobility.

Vaculug’s 5th Sustainable Thinking Fleet Forum brought together leading voices from across the transport and automotive sectors for a full day of insight, collaboration, and bold ideas. Hosted at the National Space Centre, the forum also marked Vaculug’s 75th year in business—a celebration of past innovation and future ambition.

  • Circular Economy & Tyre Lifecycle Innovation

Vaculug, Murfitts Industries, and Hankook all championed smarter tyre solutions, from retreading to recycling to next-gen materials. The environmental benefits were clear—significant reductions in oil, rubber, steel use and CO2 emissions.

Guy Heywood (Hankook Tyre UK) explored the challenges and opportunities of sustainable mobility, focusing on how it can enhance economic and social connectivity.

Vaculug’s Glenn Sherwood reflected on 75 years of growth, resilience, and impact—from WWII origins to sponsoring 75 girls’ education in India and launching the Vaculug Academy.

The day concluded with an interactive workshop led by Chris Bull (Hireco World), where attendees were encouraged to share their insights and challenges, creating an open dialogue about the road ahead.
